It has been raining all night & as I look out the window here in Dorchester in the lower levels, what we did have for snow has turned into a slushy mess-the rain is still coming down at 9am and the temperature is about 37.

The new tucker shed has been completed-Bob, Guy, & Rowell worked all summer long on it with help from Lafayette Kimball, Rick Borger, & Neil Borger. It looks great & the tucker & kubota are very happy in their new home.

Bob is trying to round up a trail work party for 8am December 12th-your help is greatly needed-you can reach him at 536-9792. We’ll be working on Corridor #8 between the power lines & Cersosimo’s field.

Our website has been attacked by spammers lately-Kyle has been very busy cleaning up after the guilty parties. It seems a few of you are still having trouble signing on to the site-please contact him through the site to try to get it fixed.

We are working on the schedule for the kitchen hours for this winter. As she did last year, Mary will have the kitchen open on fridays. We will be open saturday as well, but as it stands right now we may not be able to open on sunday. Our regular team is getting stretched pretty thin these days so we would welcome anyone who could step up & help out.

On Thanksgiving Day a few club members & along with some non-club members served a community turkey dinner with all the fixings. There were about 30 in attendance and it was very well received. Thanks to all the following for there very generous donations to the meal: Wal-Mart, Laconia Electric, Pat Dupuis, Darlene Oaks, James Covey, & the Ricky family. And to our kitchen crew- Marie & Ed Hixson, M.A., Jay, & Luke Ricky, Vic Henry, Darlene Oaks, & Tina Danner-you guys are the best-thanks for helping me make the day special for others! And much to our surprise those we served wanted to show their thanks with a donation and it will all go to the local food pantry to help their efforts this year.

The vintage rides were very successful last year and we have four scheduled for this season. Come check out some of the old relics on display before the ride-there is always a good assortment of them! We draw from Maine, Vermont, Mass, as well as our own state and there are some beauties.

Your membership renewal form went out in July, if you have misplaced it you can obtain a new one through the website or by contacting the clubhouse at 603-786-2388. Signup is also available at the clubhouse during meeting nights and throughout the season when we are open. Remember that you need your club card in order to get the thirty dollar reduced registration rate for your sled. Single & family memberships are the same price-$30.00, and 10 of that goes to NHSA for your membership dues & your Sno Traveler subscription. Rowell is very diligent about sending your cards back & filing all our memberships in a timely manner with the NHSA office. When you join the club early your Sno Traveler subscription will not be suspended. Please be sure to print clearly on the form so we have all your info correct.

Congratulations to Bob & Mary Smith who received the NHSA lifetime achievement award at the annual meeting in May! They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary too!

At the November NHSA board of Directors meeting I was sworn in as the Grafton County assistant director. I’m looking forward to representing our county clubs as Marie’s assistant and to working with the rest of the NHSA board to promote & protect snowmobiling in New Hampshire.

1 more week til opening day-keep the snow coming!!
